The Public Utilities Commission and Packet Clearing House, a leading implementer of Internet Exchange Points, will host a special Open Forum discussion on “The Benefits of an Internet Exchange Point” for stakeholders in Belize; to be held from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday June 6, 2013, at the CARACOL ROOM of the Radisson Fort George Hotel in Belize City.

The Public Utilities Commission of Belize, wishes to take advantage of the presence in the country of Packet Clearing House, one of the world’s leading implementer of Internet Exchange Points (IXPs), to convene a special Open Forum discussion on “The Benefits Of An Internet Exchange Point (IXP)” for stakeholders in Belize on 6th June, 2013, at the CARACOL ROOM, Villa Wing, Radisson Fort George Hotel.

The Public Utilities Commission (PUC; the Commission) serves notice this day, 15th March, 2013, that, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by Section 15 of the Belize Telecommunications Act and Section 5 of the Telecommunication (Licensing Classification, Authorization, and Fee Structure) Regulations 2002, S.I. 110 of 2002, and all other powers thereunto enabling, it proposes to grant a Public Radio Paging License to the following applicant:
